Drop-in-Doula

Have a doula come in for a few hours when you need a break. They can snuggle baby so you can sleep in. They can make you breakfast or help you with your evening routine, particularly if you have older kids and need that extra expert help. A doula will also assist you at your doctors’ appointments or let you rest during the day so you can do some chores around the house.

A doula is an expert in mothering the mother and taking extra great care of your little one, happy along the way to answer any of your questions.

A Drop-in-Doula is perfect for the family who every once in a while needs that special care.

It’s a magical night for all!

This package is designed to allow you to get a good night’s rest. We all know that having a newborn requires round-the-clock commitment. You’re either feeding, cuddling, diapering, or shushing baby back to sleep. Why not take a night off and have someone else take over? This night is designed for you, the parents, to get the uninterrupted sleep you deserve. Allow a trained and experienced team member to come in and give you the gift of a good night’s sleep. They’ll come in, feed babies as needed, change them, burp them, cuddle them, and put them back to sleep. All this is possible for a breastfeeding mother as well, as our caregiver can bring the baby to you. After you nurse them, our caregiver does the rest.

Nursery Setup

A huge number of beautiful new baby items now grace your nursery, but how best should they be arranged? What are the safest places for items? What set-up would contribute to the best flow, the best organization? What about lighting and a comfy chair for mom to feed or to sing lullabies?

Gentle Giraffes’ can help you think through all these questions according to both personal preferences and what might work best for your baby.

Gentle Giraffes has the knowledge and experience to know how and why placing the crib on a certain wall is best or where to hang the mobile so it’s a fun toy to play with, or how some nursing chairs are more supportive than others to organizing the dressers and closets all before your little one arrives.

Antepartum Package

This is best for a family where the mother is at the tail end of pregnancy with 4 or so weeks left and could use a few extra hands to allow her some much-needed rest. This package is also good for the mother on bed rest who has some complications and needs to stay off her feet the majority of the time.

Whether you’re planning a date night, attending an event, or simply taking time for yourselves, we provide attentive, compassionate care for your baby while you are away.

We understand that leaving your baby for the first time or even the fifth time can feel emotional and overwhelming for many parents. That is why our approach focuses not only on exceptional newborn care but also on helping parents feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. Our highly experienced team members are knowledgeable in newborn development, feeding, soothing, sleep support, and responding sensitively to your baby’s unique needs, so you can have peace of mind knowing your child is safe, comforted, and well cared for.

Our goal is to help parents feel confident taking intentional time for themselves while ensuring babies continue to feel secure, nurtured, and supported in a familiar and gentle environment.

Minimum booking of 4 hours required. Minimum of $220 for infants, any additional hours are $55.00 per hour.*

*For older children, an additional fee of $10 per hour will be applied. If older children are sleeping at the time of service, no extra fees will be charged.

Parents Weekend Away

When was the last time you had an uninterrupted conversation with your partner?! A parent getaway weekend is more than simply time away after having a baby. It is an opportunity to reconnect, recharge, and strengthen the foundation of your relationship during one of life’s busiest and most demanding seasons. Parenthood can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also leave little time for couples to nurture themselves and each other. Overnight weekend support allows parents to  return home feeling more refreshed, grounded, and present for their family.

At Gentle Giraffes, we believe that supporting the well-being of parents is just as important as supporting the children. Taking time to refill your own cup is not selfish but  is an investment in your relationship, mental well-being, and long-term family health. It positively impacts the entire household dynamic.

Children benefit from this experience as well. Time spent with trusted, nurturing caregivers allows children opportunities to build confidence, strengthen social-emotional flexibility, and develop secure relationships with other safe adults in their lives. Our highly experienced newborn care specialists provide consistent, loving, and attentive care while maintaining your family’s routines and parenting preferences so your children continue to feel safe, secure, and supported while you are away.

Whether you are planning a relaxing couples retreat, celebrating a special occasion, attending a wedding, reconnecting after the newborn stage, or simply taking intentional time to rest together, our highly trained team is here to help make the experience feel smooth and worry-free. We thoughtfully support feeding schedules, naps, bedtime routines, activities, emotional regulation, overnight care, and all of the small details that help children feel comfortable and cared for in your absence.

This weekend’s package includes:

Support is offered at a rate of $1,440 per 24-hour period if not booking a whole weekend

Expecting Parents Plus
Best time is 6-8 weeks before due date

This consultation is great for expectant parents who from day one would like to have a solid foundation of the basics of daily care. This consultation will cover the basics of healthy sleep, as well as some coping skills for those first few months. This is a great opportunity to get all of your questions answered about the first few weeks/months, so that you’re ready for baby’s arrival. (all information is based on studies/research/experience with full-term babies)

Travel

Many new parents have a hard time going away for their anniversary, attending a wedding, or even a family reunion within the first 6 months of having a baby. Here at Gentle Giraffes, we understand it can be really hard to leave your new baby with someone new during those fun nights or the long hours of prep and pictures if you’re in a wedding, even just taking a long excursion to spend time as a couple. In order to make these events and adventures more fun and enjoyable, several of our team members are always ready for a week or two of travel to help make this new chapter as easy, relaxing, and manageable as possible for you. In the past, in fact, many have traveled regularly with their clients.

They know what it’s like to keep you on track and organized. This allows you to have a good time while on your vacation, focus while on a work trip, and be at peace knowing your most precious cargo is being well-taken care of for any other occasion that may take you away from home.
