Newborn Care Sleep Resets
Welcome to Gentle Giraffes Newborn Care Sleep Resets for Little Ones 6 – 20 weeks
We understand that every family’s journey is unique, and we are honored to be part of this important season in your child’s development.
Our philosophy extends beyond addressing basic challenges. This is not sleep training; but is the gentle process of establishing healthy sleep habits that create a strong foundation for your infant’s sleep routines in the months and years ahead. We are committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate guidance that supports your child’s development while honoring your family’s values and parenting goals. Every recommendation we make is designed to promote healthy, sustainable habits that foster your child’s emotional well-being, nervous system regulation, confidence, and overall sense of security.
The following procedures and recommendations have been developed to provide consistency, clarity, and a nurturing framework for success. While every child is unique, these guidelines reflect best practices that help create predictable routines, support healthy development, and establish a strong foundation for long-term success. As always, our team will tailor these approaches to meet the individual needs of your child and family.
Our mission is to help your entire family feel more rested, connected, confident, and supported as you navigate each stage with expert guidance and compassionate care.
Intake Form Instructions
To ensure a smooth and efficient evaluation, we will ask you to complete an intake form. This form will help us gain a deeper understanding of your child’s sleep history, temperament, personality, daily routines, feeding patterns, developmental stages, current challenges, and your parenting philosophy.
The more information you provide, the more personalized and effective your support plan can be. Once completed, please return the form at your earliest convenience, no later than 24 hours before your scheduled consultation.
Consultation/In person Assessment Meeting
Whenever possible, we encourage both parents or primary caregivers to attend the consultation. If arrangements can be made for other children to be cared for during our meeting, it often allows everyone to remain more present, focused, and engaged in the discussion.
During our assessment, we will review the 5-day log sheet, discuss your current sleep concerns, evaluate contributing factors, and explore solutions that support your child’s unique developmental and emotional needs. We take a whole-child approach, recognizing that sleep is deeply connected to regulation, temperament, feeding, sensory needs, attachment, routines, and overall nervous system health.
Our goal is not to force rigid schedules or unrealistic expectations, but to create an individualized plan that supports healthier sleep while also honoring your child’s developmental readiness and emotional well-being.
There may be times when I ask sensitive or personal questions regarding routines, dynamics, or parenting approaches. Honest and open communication allows me to provide the most thoughtful, effective, and supportive guidance possible for your family.
Next Steps After the Consultation
Following your in-home assessment and consultation, your sleep specialist will carefully review all gathered information and develop your personalized sleep support plan. Your written plan will be provided within three business days after any remaining questions or follow-up information have been addressed.
Your support period officially begins on the day of your in-home assessment. During this time, we will work together to create healthy, sustainable changes that feel supportive, achievable, and aligned with your family’s goals.
Scheduling Follow-Up Zoom Support
Ongoing support is vital as your child’s sleep needs and development continue to evolve. Should you require additional Zoom consultations, text support, or in-home day hours beyond your initial plan, we are happy to accommodate your needs. Supplemental services are available at the following rates: $75 per 30-minute Zoom call, $350 for 5 additional in-home day hours, or $350 per week for unlimited text support.
Our role is to guide, educate, encourage, and support you throughout this journey while helping you better understand your child’s cues, regulation, and sleep needs. We are here to help your family create a calmer, more restful home environment built on connection, consistency, responsiveness, and trust.
We look forward to supporting your family and helping your child thrive with healthier sleep, emotional security, and strong developmental foundations.
You are not alone in this journey, we are here to support you every step of the way!
